Welcome to Student Organizations Council!

As a representative body and a chartered student organization recognized by Texas State University, the Student Organizations Council (SOC) provides direction and support for all registered student organizations at the university.


SOC is Recruiting

We are looking for passionate and hardworking individuals to join our team.

Positions that are open for recruitment are as follows:

Vice President of Finance: The Vice President communicates funding procedures and regulations to all registered student organizations.

SOC Event Coordinator: Event Coordinators are responsible for creating, planning, and executing SOC events including Involvement Fair and other related events.

SOC Social Media & Recognition Coordinator: The Social Media & Recognition Coordinator is responsible for maintaining contact with with registered student organizations, maintaining all SOC's social media platforms, and as well as overseeing the monthly Organization Leader and Student Organization of the Month recognition program.

Student Organizations Conference

To maintain eligibility student organization leaders will need to complete the state-mandated Risk Management training hosted during the Student Organizations Conference on Saturday, September 12th from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm

Student Organizations Fair

Each semester the Student Organizations Council (SOC) hosts the Student Organizations Fair to provide students the opportunity to meet and learn the many student organizations here at Texas State University.

This year, the Fall 2020 Student Organizations Fair will be held on September 9th, 2020. Further details will be announced in the future.
