Commuter Students are those students who live outside of the University campus and must drive or utilize public transportation from home to attend class. Off-campus Student Services and the LBJ Student Center provides several services for commuting students to assist them while on campus including Boko’s living room, the NTSO Lounge, lockers, study space and information on campus programs and resources.
The NTSO Lounge is a great place to hang out. It features a refrigerator to keep a lunch in during the day, a microwave to cook your lunch, a reference library and a lending library, computers with Internet connection, word processing, and a variety of programs. and a Message Board to leave members messages, notes from class, textbooks, advertisements, etc. For membership information call 245-3613.
Lockers are available at the LBJ Student Center for students to store their possessions in while taking classes. The lockers may be rented at the LBJ Student Center information desk located on the 2nd floor. Current rates are $5 per summer session and $10 per long semester.
