"Before making my way down to the Texas Hill Country, I called Hurst, Texas home. Growing up in an area between Dallas and Fort Worth afforded me many opportunities to visit museums and be exposed to various creative spaces and outlets. My love for the arts continued to develop as I explored both visual and performing arts as a dancer, yearbook editor and daughter of a professional musician."

"Now, I'm in my fourth year at Texas State and can typically be found camped out on a pretty part of the river filling sketchbooks with hand-lettered truisms. As an Art Education major, I hope to build confidence in my future students to take risks, problem solve and be innovative thinkers. These are just a few of the qualities that I whole-heartedly believe are derived from creative thinking and why I think advocating for the arts is so important!"
